I have been beta tested Microsoft Windows 7 since 4xxx release, and now that I am already running the final release code, I have noticed that a lot of Japanese websites still have issues with Windows 7, Internet Explore 8 and Windows Media Player 12. It could be that Japanese are slow to adapt; working for HP I know this is to be true. Not all Japanese buy the best and the latest. If it works why change it for a new one. We in the west are use to getting our technology heavily marked down while the Japanese don’t usually. So But once they buy, it is an investment and they don’t buy again until the others break. We in the West are more likely to buy a new one just cause we found one that matches our new mode, or just because the neighbour next door got one.
Gyao![ギャオ]and MoraWin [モーラ ウィン]is the main two sites I have been looking forward to seeing working with the new Media Player 12 which looks great it hands down the best media player to date. Also Microsoft should bring back Karaoke their has not been any since media player 9.
This is a few shots of what my friend pulled together for me of Morioka 「盛岡市」It is one of her favorite places in Japan 日本国. It’s on her way to her Mothers home town of Hanawa「塙町」. The trip was long one with with lots of trains involved. first the Shinkansen「(新幹線」from Tokyo「東京」 to Morioka 「盛岡市」and then took the local train from Morioka 「盛岡市」 to Hanawa 「塙町」. It took about 3 hours on the Shinkanzen 「(新幹線」 to Morioka 「盛岡市」 but with the local train it took about 3 hours from Morioka 「盛岡市」to Hanawa「塙町」. The Shinkansen 「(新幹線」is very fast. I guess that’s why they call it the bullet train.
Now I have been listen to Yui for about 3 months now and love her old cd Can’t Buy my love.. Here new cd I love Yesterday I am not to sure about. Its not as catchy as her old one
I am in the process of fully checking this out but from my initial walk through this looks very promising. Listed below are the links to there sites the Japanese site and the English translation.
This is not just client software but also server software. I also have my eye this little project openvpn which works on windows and linux server via ssl vpn connection with great connection speeds. Thinking about setting up my own server for secure access to the Internet content via storage cache that can bee access via vpn clients.
This is a Great show, I first saw this on www.gyao.jp and I really liked it. Shakugan no Shana 灼眼のシャナ) or Shana of the burning eyes. It starts out a little slow… boy is normal life is normal he has a strange event and now he sees the whole world for what it really is.
Apart from that. this story is about a Kick Butt girl with a really big sword… So there is lots of action tons of funny moments, and from time to time the story will take a break from the action and switch to more softer side. It also has really great graphics and fight sequences. I can really say what this is like cause its not really like any one thing or to much like a bunch of anything it is a great show action love and mayhem all of which I like. Also it does not really gets to heavy they try and keep it light so as of now there are no need to shed tears (which bums me out like Full Metal)… but anyhoo dont take my word for it. check it out.

Have you guys seen those barcodes in those japannes websites? These are QR codes, a kind of next-generation bar code that can hold more information than the old UPC code, and often contain links to mobile websites. These can be read with your mobile’s Bar Code Reade. Ever wanted to add one to your site or even be able to use it on your phone. Well here is the digital download. First these are big in Asian mainly Japan, aprt of there Keitai (ケイタイ) however it is growing quite rapidly in the Europe. It is just starting to catch on in the States, so to help spread the word I though I would help show you how to make your own tags for your site as well as get your phones to be able to read these tags.
Here is a a few places where you can get software to generate the proper denso code for your site.
Here are some sites that have the reader for the phones.
Kaywa, Quick Mark This last one is coming soon to at&t alltel but as of now only downloads to sprint Scan Life
After you get the software and you want to use your scanner app, Selecting Bar Code Reader app starts up the camera. Get the code inside the little square – it doesn’t have to match the edges, the important thing is to have it fully inside the box. After it has been read, you have some options: access the site now, or register it to your address book to access it later.
These are but a few but it should help you on your way.
